To kick off our 40th Anniversary Celebration, on May 1, Capital Caring is excited to bring Grammy Award-winner Olivia Newton-John, Grammy nominee Beth Nielsen Chapman, and SOCAN Award-winner Amy Sky to our nation’s capital for a special benefit concert that will feature an evening of hope, healing and empowerment.
Their new album, LIV ON, is a powerful collection of songs written to empower individuals as they travel their own grief journeys. Attendees will feel hopeful and empowered, and will leave with a sense of healing and comfort, as the songs’ lyrics were carefully composed to help individuals transcend loss.
I have proudly led Capital Caring since 2006. Our organization is constantly looking for ways to improve hospice care, but one thing has not changed: our healthcare providers and volunteers have an undeniable knack for focusing on what matters – compassion, comfort, and creating lasting memories for families.
Many years ago, I decided to devote my entire career to hospice and palliative care. It has changed my life for the better, and the compassion I witness on a daily basis never ceases to amaze me.
In bringing LIV ON to the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC, my hope is that a seed of empowerment and healing will be planted in the heart of each person in attendance.
2017 marks the 40th Anniversary of Capital Caring. What started as a small organization has grown to become the Mid-Atlantic’s largest hospice and palliative care provider. We support more than 1,300 moms, dads, and kids every day in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC, providing world-class care to each individual, no matter where they live, and no matter their ability to pay.
Much like LIV ON, Capital Caring – from our volunteers and healthcare providers to our staff and donors – helps individuals during journeys of grief.
As we commemorate our 40th anniversary, honoring our past and looking to the future, compassionate, patient-focused care remains our hallmark.
Tickets for the LIV ON concert are available at www.capitalcaring.org/livonconcert. For further details regarding this special evening, please visit www.capitalcaring.org/livon or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
